The push for more women in positions of power in tech (who will thus displace men, and know to whom/what political faction they attribute their success) is a power grab by the American left to seize control of a power and influential industry they can use a tool to advance their interests. This is why there no real push for gender equality in female-majority fields, or non-lucrative/influential male-majority fields, e.g. offshore oil rigging or construction.
