Growing up with an NES my religious parents (at the time) would be very wary of what games they would purchase for me. There was a Christian bookstore that would sell unlicensed Widsom Tree [0] Christian games and they were all kinds of jank, had distinct cardridge shapes and colors [1], and in most cases, had very little Biblical accuracy.

- jupiter90000 10y agoI had a very religious mother, and we lived with our pastor. I remember having something like a dungeons and dragons board game I owned burned in the backyard because it was 'devilish.' However, the pastor had no problem himself playing his own copy of Castlevania 3 on the NES and letting us watch. Sort of a tangent, your comment reminded of this experience though..
