- andreyf 10y agoSomeone posted a little early — apparently the default is coming in 58: http://www.androidpolice.com/2017/01/24/webassembly-enabled-default-chrome-58-gives-web-apps-processing-power/ http://www.androidpolice.com/2017/01/24/webassembly-enabled-...
- markdog12 10y agoI do believe it is enabled in 57
- judah 10y agoYou're right. However, looking at the Chrome Platform Status page on Web Assembly[0], it says it's enabled by default in Chromium 57. "Status in Chromium: Enabled by default (launch bug) in: Chrome for desktop release 57 Chrome for Android release 57" [0]: https://www.chromestatus.com/feature/5453022515691520 https://www.chromestatus.com/feature/5453022515691520
- judah 10y agoDoing a bit more digging, I just upgraded to Chrome 57, and then checked window.WebAssembly. It's there and apparently functional. Unless it's somehow disabled beyond that, it appears WebAssembly is working in Chrome 57.

- dang 10y agoOk, we changed the above title from "Chrome 57 – WebAssembly enabled" to what the page says.
- markdog12 10y agoI added "WebAssembly enabled" because I thought it would be of the most interest to HN. It is indeed enabled in Chrome 57 stable.
- dang 10y agoOk, we put it back.
- mtgx 10y agoAre you from the Chrome team? Or how do you know it's enabled? The above demo doesn't work for me because it says I don't have WebGL enabled - yet I do. It may be some other setting messing it up. It seems strange that Google would not even mention such a feature being enabled, though.
