Perhaps worth pointing out that the $300 you're referring to is the amount of credit you're given when doing the free trial. As in, you can spend $300 worth of computing resources over 12 months, for free. I totally failed to understand that (I'm not very cloudy) and had to go to their sign-up page to figure out what was up.
