- neaden 10y agoThat's a terrible answer. Sexual harassment happens everywhere, some places are certainly worse than others but gender segregating the whole world would be awful. There needs to be a change in the culture coming from the top down to make it clear this kind of behavior is unacceptable.
- dogma1138 10y agoBased on at least an Israeli military study less segregation actually reduces sexual harassment. Sexual harassment is prevalent when there is a large imbalance in group size this also holds true in units which have a makeup of 80-90% female to male ratio in which case the males are harassed. It seems that the unit with the least amount of sexual harassment is the coed combat unit where the male to female ratio is near equal and this holds true for the entire chain of command. Effectively when one group seem to have more power even if it's just perceived power due sheer numbers thinks go the other way around. That said it might be hard to balance the numbers due to obvious reasons. A 10 year study of women in actual combat roles does not bode well for them physically especially in the reproductive department.
