- michaelchisari 10y agoputting out a travel ban which was challenged, and then revising it That's an interesting way to spin having your EO struck down as unconstitutional.
- dragonwriter 10y agoThe EO wasn't struck down as unconstitutional, it simply had a preliminary injunction issued against it, pending an actual trial on the merits. Retract and revise to reset that process to square one and avoid a final outcome on the merits is not a parricularly novel legal strategy; it's actually well-known, often abusive approach.
- LyndsySimon 10y agoHow is it fundamentally any different than Uber failing to provide insurance for their drivers until mid-2014? 1. Do something on the edge of legality 2. Get called on it 3. Change your actions going forward as little as possible to overcome legal resistance
