Right now I get in a car and drive about 3 miles. It takes 8 or so minutes. I would love to bike but there are some places between our office and my house that are not biker friendly. Before that I telecommuted. Before that I drove 5 miles but it was city driving (Waltham, MA just outside of Boston) so it took a half hour some days. Before that I lived in Boston and commuted to Lexington, MA using public transportation and it was a half hour on the subway and a half hour on the bus each way.
