How do you conclude that that the guy or gal who knows interview riddles and "hide the ball" questions, will somehow care more about their craft, than someone who does a great job on an assessment test?
It sounds to me like you just had a bad crop of people, most of whom wouldn't have passed an "algorithms" style interview either.
- ep103 10y agoPeople who do well on the assessment tests almost always do well overall. Its very rare that someone does well on an assessment test, and then fails an interview. I don't think I've had it happen yet. Yes, that's most certainly an issue.
