I bought a pair of Shure SRH440 over the ear headphones six months ago, and have been extremely happy with them. I bought them based primarily on the Amazon reviews which frequently said they sounded as good as headphones costing 3 times as much. They're studio headphones, block sound really well (though they're not noise cancelling) and the sound quality is amazing for the price.
