I think the reason why people are outraged is because Instacart already has a service and delivery fee. You would assume that the fees is where they're making the money. In grocery stores, etc. there isn't a service fee, so it's expected that the prices are marked up. In Instacart, there is already a service fee, but the prices are also marked up.
