It is an interesting fact that concrete itself is a carbon sink, and that it mitigates a bit the emissions associated with its production. That said, I agree that it would be interesting to have a independent study of the complete environmental impact of such a building, from its erection to its disposal. I would instinctively expect a smaller impact from this kind of "lean" approach, though this might also create problems due to the economy of scale not necessarily being present.
