- barrkel 10y agoI'm quite sensitive to sub-75Hz monitors - I could not stand 60Hz - but another side-effect of higher refresh rate is smoother desktop updates when scrolling or moving windows. I recently upgraded my second monitor on my home PC to a 144Hz gaming version. The smoothness and responsiveness of UI on that monitor side by side with the standard 60Hz is really remarkable, I'd forgotten how big a difference it makes. The PC physically feels much more pleasant to use. OTOH, my partner doesn't notice the difference at all.
- WWLink 10y agoI'm more sensitive to the really high pitched eeeeeeee that comes from CRTs and their flyback transformers.
- kozak 10y agoThat sensitivity goes away "automatically" with age.
