It's taken 25 years for Li-ion batteries to get from the lab to the current level of industrial production. If this technology pans out it will probably take a similar time to do the same - maybe a bit faster given the greater interest in batteries now.
- kbenson 10y agoI imagine (hope!) that the much larger industry and greater need for large scale commodity batteries (electric cars) can speed this up considerably, and not just a bit.

- jaimex2 10y agoAlso keep in mind Tesla exists now and they do push the envelope. If this tech has any merit I would expect them to jump on it.
- mahyarm 10y agoSo this guy was 67 when Li-ion batteries started from the lab. And invented the li-ion battery at 57! Pretty impressive!
