If you have a driving partner, I would recommend a cross-country driving trip to everyone. A few months ago I moved from Charlottesville, VA out to the Bay Area. I stopped in Memphis, Amarillo, Phoenix, LA and drove up highway 101 from there. It's a weird feeling to describe, but driving across the entire country almost gives you a renewed sense of patriotism. Oh yeah almost forgot... drive the speed limit in Texas.
