Amazing. These types of changes are a step in the right for direction for Mozilla. I abandoned Firefox long ago for Chrome but now with containers, e10s, and Electrolysis I'm planning on moving back.
- narrowrail 10y agoI realize it's somewhat off-topic, but when on Android, I have found no better browser than Firefox because of extensions. uBlock Origin is indispensable if you don't want to root your device.
- wodenokoto 10y agoI don't use extensions and still find Firefox better than Chrome on Android. It is a really good browser.
- smichel17 10y agoCheck out DNS66 on f-droid.
- ZenoArrow 10y agoAren't e10s and Electrolysis two different names for the same thing? In any case, if you wanted to add a third item to your list, I'd recommend Quantum: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Quantum https://wiki.mozilla.org/Quantum
- cpeterso 10y ago> Aren't e10s and Electrolysis two different names for the same thing? Yes. e10s is short for E-lectrolysi-s. :)
- tmccrmck 10y agoWoops! I meant Quantum.
- cpeterso 10y agoFortunately no one has tried to use the name "q5m" for Quantum yet. :)
- stymaar 10y agoI spent years before understanding how shorthands like e10s or i18n (InternationalizatioN) worked, and it was only when I heard about Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) that I understood …
- Pxtl 10y agoI'm finding the reverse - I'm the last of my co-workers to still use Firefox as a daily driver (theyre all on Chrome) but the performance problems have just about made me give up on it. Too many cases of it freezing up, and Google Maps still makes it crash.
- groovecoder 10y agoCan you run the "Pulse" experiment and provide feedback on the sites that are slow and/or broken? We will use that data to help debug performance problems - especially the worst ones on popular sites. https://testpilot.firefox.com/experiments/pulse https://testpilot.firefox.com/experiments/pulse
