Why can't the index subsystem itself have a backup then? When the primary subsystem is being restarted/rebuilt, the secondary takes over.

- grogenaut 10y agothats kind of like asking why git doesn't have a single backup... it's a distributed system, there's not just one backup, there are lots of little partial backups.
