Ask HN: Does your business accept installment payments? Why or why not?

Also, I guess it would be nice to know what industry you are in. I am curious to know why installment payments are not as popular in the US. By this I don't mean credit card payments, I mean when the store actually allows you to pay over time, not purchasing with your credit card in full and then paying it off.
