- jsemrau 10y agoSuburbia has the benefits of affordable housing at the cost of transportation. That's why it was such a successful concept. In many non-American cities proximity to trainstations increases housing cost. With the colonization of America and the technical innovation of the automobile this was no longer deemed necessary.
