- throwaway2016a 10y agoI've been using Lambda since the beginning (was an early private beta user). I am actually considering writing a book or perhaps some courseware. I don't blog. Unfortunately, if I do I cannot post it here as it would defeat the purpose of using a throw-away account :(
- foota 10y agoYour throwaway has 1500 karma?
- throwaway2016a 10y agoYeah. I guess anonymous is a better word than "throw away" at this point.
- grzm 10y agoOr even pseudonymous. You've posted enough to have established a reputation and personality. It's a name, just not your real one.
- cel1ne 10y agoOff-topic question: Why do people use throwaway accounts here on HN? Why is it so important that nobody knows who the real person behind posts is?
- k__ 10y agoBecause the information people give away is more important than their identity.
- hn_user2 10y agoCan't speak for parent. For me, I don't care if people know the real person behind the post. But I don't want someone to be able to see a list of everything I have ever said. And unfortunately there is no way to do one without the other. Just like everyday conversation. I can speak without anonymity. But I would hate for someone to go look at some of the things I said 20 years ago.
- throwaway2016a 10y agoSame here.
- cel1ne 10y agoI understand that. I don't really mind though, because a) most people will never put in that effort to search my history and b) I trust that I will be able to find a proper excuse/response to anyone who would "attack me with my written history"

- cagataygurturk 10y agoI am publishing a book in the following months that covers all the items you mention, IAM, fully Cloudformation, deployment with Gradle etc. The language I picked is Java because we thought with the publisher that Java at Lambda has very little written resources. If you are interested here is the link and if you pre-order it you can access to finished chapters already: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Building-Serverless-Architectures-Cagatay-Gurturk/dp/1787129195 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Building-Serverless-Architectures-C...
- throwaway2016a 10y agoAwesome. I'm not a Java guy but I'll take a look.
