It's a significant problem in our country when the economists in power do not consider (or pretend to not consider) the debt or the deficit trajectory, let alone unfunded liabilities, to be the serious problem that they are. Something has to give, whether it's a debilitating depression brought on by balancing the spreadsheet or significant devaluation of the US dollar to fraudulently meet obligations.
