I don't know about the Raspberry Pi Zero, but I've been running a reliability test-bench for power semiconductors non-stop since August '16, and the Raspberry Pi 3 hasn't failed me once. I did purchase an industrial USB Hub though because there were too many USB peripherals drawing too much current.
