I went from a 2012 15" Retina MBP to a SP4 for about a year. It was okay. I'm now back on a 2016 15" TB MBP and happy to be "home" on macOS. There's really nothing wrong with this machine. It might not be the giant leap forward from the 2015 model that people hoped for, but it's a perfectly fine machine to get work done with.
