How can we hold these people and companies accountable for this behavior? Someone brought up not too long ago that this community is filled with people that want to change the world. However, we're often represented by people and organizations that are holding us back from progressing. What are we, the subjects of this community, supposed to do?

Vote. Get other people to vote. Preferably have already done that in an alternate universe decades ago. Now? Now that corporations have all of the rights, and none of the responsibilities of personhood, Trump is in office, the Republicans have the Congress, and will have the SCOTUS for at least a generation? Now it's getting a bit late.

    As I said / strongly implied... the time for this has largely passed. Now is the time when people wring their hands as they slowly realize that there's a problem, now that said problem has rolled right over them.
