- supercoder 10y agoCan't understand the attraction to ATP. Just seems it's 3 guys complaining the Mac isn't like it used to be for 2 hours every week.
- tradersam 10y agoSometimes I get really annoyed with it, as it can be three guys complaining about Apple in general, which I don't care too much about. The real good stuff comes when they talk about programming, gaming, and cars, which happens every episode. They also had a good interview recently with Chris Lattner that is worth the listen.
- supercoder 10y agoI agree, the Chris Lattner interview was really interesting.
- Veen 10y agoI like CGP Grey and Myke Hurley on other podcasts but Cortex bores me. CGP Grey needs someone different to play-off, like Brady on Hello Internet. On Cortex Myke just seems to play the role of mini-Grey. Also, there's only so much micro-workflow optimisation and productivity-wanking I can stand.
- jyoung789 10y agoTo me, HI seems more like a discussion between two friends. It works really well because of Brady's reporting background and interviewing skills. In Cortex, however, Myke has said that he started the podcast because he wanted to see how Grey worked. As such, the podcast is just kind of a continuous explanation by Grey, to Myke about the way he works and what he is doing to improve his productivity. Myke then explains what he is doing off of Grey's advice and Grey improves it.
