Interesting idea, but probably the wrong decision. In my own life, I've noticed that this approach just doesn't work for me. Rudeness or cheating in response to rudeness and cheating doesn't win. The thing about the shameless (as James Bond mused about a cheater at tennis) is that they are curiously invulnerable. You aren't curiously invulnerable, so you'll lose at this sort of pissing contest. A civil, coherent, deliberate, and assertive response is a very good idea, though. Just don't give up on your values.
