I dont get the trend of security hashes / encryption trying to describe itself with a header, it just makes breaking this hashed / encrypted data faster.. no humans needed, fully automated hacking at scale!
- pwdisswordfish 10y agoKerckhoffs' principle: security should depend on the secrecy of the keys, not of the algorithm. Do you object to PGP or PKCS#7 because they attach metadata to the encrypted data, so that the attacker knows which cipher/key they should be cracking?
