"Please do not use a mobile device!"
why?
- bunderbunder 10y agoThe authors probably didn't want to sink resources into making it work on mobile. It relies a lot on mouseover-type gestures, and the layout assumes a pretty large chunk of screen real estate - it doesn't even fit all that comfortably on my 13" laptop's screen.
- stevehiehn 10y agoI'm willing to bet if you make a cash donation & a feature request they might fix it.
- rubyfan 10y agoI got a kick out of the message when I clicked the link. Is this a general request or specifically for the page? There are probably better language options for whichever they are trying to communicate.
- danielkunin 10y agoHi, I am the creator of Seeing Theory. That message comes up for any touch screen or mobile device. Unfortunately not all my visualizations are fully functional on mobile or touch screen devices, so I decided to post that message and hide the content. I realize that is a bad design choice. I just changed it to post a pop up message alerting the user that the visualizations might not be fully functional, but now you should still be able to view all the content. I will hopefully make it mobile friendly at a later date. Thanks for the feedback!
- mturmon 10y agoReally nice work. I spent a long time studying probability in grad school and use it daily at work, but I still enjoy seeing simple demos like the ones you have made.
