If you were thinking of this as being a cheap CPU for a GPU training rig. It only has 24 PCI Express lanes. It might be better to stick with Xeon CPUs because most have 40 lanes.
- ThatPlayer 10y agoThanks for that. Was thinking about building a similar build I current have which uses a 5960X for the 40 lanes.
- Kubuxu 10y agoUsually you don't need x16 lanes for each GPU. x8 or even x4 in PCIe 3.0 will be enough but there is no way to know without checking.
