- mildbow 10y agoRationally? No, you shouldn't drop your plans of visiting.
- mikeash 10y agoYou'll be fine. The murder rate in the US is comparable to India's. Pretty much by definition, anything that makes the (inter)national news is a rare event. There's some bad shit going down in this country, but it's not to the point where people need to fear for their lives. (And I think/hope it will remain that way.)
