Silicon Valley for the past five years has been afflicted by Wall Street ethics. I've seen this first hand at a few SV companies. As a male, I've actually faced reverse harassment. Never worked at Uber, but I'm speaking of much larger SV companies. HR is useless.
Silicon Valley is no different than any other place in the World. Just because people think they are "changing" the world doesn't mean ethics need to be on the line.

- angry-hacker 10y agoI'm very confused, do people really believe companies in SV are more ethical or the social issues they support are because they believe in it, not just pr and marketing? And people here say advertising doesn't work.
- mst 10y ago> reverse harassment I am genuinely confused as to what you're trying to refer to with this term.
- derptron 10y agoPretty sure you know what he means and would instead just like to educate him on why "reverse harassment" isn't a thing. Right?
