- bjornsing 10y agoIf there was, then that would have been the first SHA-1 collision, right? ;P
- imron 10y agoYes, but is anyone looking?
- Zitrax 10y agoHow many commits are there in total on Github ?
- imron 10y agoThey have almost 83,000,000 public repositories (https://api.github.com/repositories?since=82960000 https://api.github.com/repositories?since=82960000). Many of them will be forks of the same projects, but I think it's fair to say there's a sizable number of unique commits. Granted, the number will only be a tiny fraction of total address space of SHA1, but it'd still be an interesting thing to investigate.
