- hackuser 10y agoAn excellent, incredibly beautiful film, beyond the topical plot point.
- pmoriarty 10y agoBeautiful, but super, super, boring -- with an extra helping of boring on top.
- CamperBob2 10y agoThe challenging thing about Melancholia isn't "boredom" but the shaky camera work in the first half of the movie. I turned it off in disgust after 30 minutes or so. No idea why I went back and watched the rest of it, but I'm glad I did. One of those films that sticks with you.
- hackuser 10y ago> Beautiful, but super, super, boring Let's just say that it's definitely an art-house film. Some find that sort of thing boring, but not everyone.
- Confusion 10y agoYou obviously haven't seen The Turin Horse. Melancholia was action packed compared to that.
- ttam 10y agoYeah, but Another Earth's main character is fascinated by astronomy and gets accepted to MIT
- e40 10y agoWhich is on Netflix for streaming. Thanks for the tip.
