I have to admit, the screenshot they picked seems like a really bad example :) Most Android devices can't just be updated to the latest version, which is counter to the proposed goal of being user actionable.. Won't this particular check just result in alert fatigue? Once any single alert comes in that the user has no control over, they HAVE to ignore it, and once they ignore one, it's easier to choose to ignore more..
