To point to the other side of aisle as unscientific, uncaring, etc, coupled with the belief that your side is none of theses things is tribalism, and amount to nothing more than "Blue team good, red team bad!" or vice versa. That's why having a dialog is so important, so that we can weed out bad ideas. Saying that "we do not, and will not welcome anyone who elects a man like trump" is just divisive and socially damaging.
