I had the same problem, and it does indeed to be caused by the extension HTTPS Everywhere that I imagine a lot of HNers use.

I had the same problem, and it does indeed to be caused by the extension HTTPS Everywhere that I imagine a lot of HNers use.
- ars 10y agoI'm not using the extension, it is the remote server that is redirecting to https, not the local browser.
