I purchased a large safe that has ethernet and power pass-thru. Stuck a NAS with RAID 5 inside and use it as a Time Machine target for all of our laptops. Additionally everything in the house runs BackBlaze for offsite backups. Once a year I restore a machine from backups to test (usually I'll copy the drive to an external first just in case).
