I agree with Comodo; paying off victims does not solve the problem. Clearly what needs to happen is for Uber to discipline/fire the offender or offenders. Establishing that they will follow through on complaints would (ideally) dissuade people from doing things like this in the first place, as well as assuring other victims that if they come forward, something will actually be done about the issue.
