Wow.
Let's tear your comment down.
> A ridiculously privileged cadre of third worlders
Privileged how? By having a decent job and (up until recently) feeling secure? If that's all it takes to be considered "ridiculously privileged" that is a shocking indictment of the US. Unless it's only ridiculous because they're "third worlders" - implying that "they" don't merit the same privileges as citizens (presumably "first worlders"). And then of course there's the provocative and pejorative use of "cadre" - a group of people trained for a particular purpose (with martial overtones).
> still feel the need to complain
So criticism shall not be brooked. Is that a right also reserved for non-third-worlders?
Criticism is often the engine of progress.
> If you don't like it, why don't you leave permanently?
What if he likes the US but doesn't like this one policy? Should he still leave? Should his American wife and children be forced to leave with him? What if a natural-born citizen doesn't like "it"? Where should they leave to?
- gydfi 10y agoPrivileged in that they were allowed to leave the shit country of their ancestors, and come to the first world which was created by our ancestors, and they still want to complain about the terms under which they're allowed in.

- icebraining 10y agoLeaving aside your feverishly imagined reality in which only first-worlders built the US, changing the rules after the fact is something even criminals look down upon as honourless. Not to mention the fact that considering 20th century history, US-ians looking down on Iran reeks of hypocrisy.
- phs318u 10y agoYour ignorance of history is astounding. Who allowed your ancestors to come to your country? The indigenes? Half your country was "made" on the backs of slaves. You should acquaint yourself with the historical grand migrations of the world's peoples over the last several millennia, and the rise and fall of empires far more powerful and long lived than yours in order to fully appreciate that how things are is not how they have always been nor how they will always be.
- IanDrake 10y agoNot agreeing the the OP here, but your assertion that "Half your country was \"made\" on the backs of slaves" is wrong. While slavory was a horrific practice in the US, GB, France, the Barbary states, etc... it has nothing to do with the rise of the US anymore than it could be applied to the rise of the other entities I listed.
