Thank you.
I know many people like them. But, I can't fucking stand long form. I don't care were someone grew up, or what the fuck their mother does, or how you've decided to shape and construct a "story". Just tell me the fact and let me move on without wasting my time on your fluff.
- ClassyJacket 10y agoI agree. All this does is make me uninterested in reading the article. The 786 words of exposition were unnecessary. Maybe this Reader's Digest format appeals to some, but I prefer substance from scientific articles.
- wavefunction 10y agoI have to laugh (in good humor) at your post, as Reader's Digest provided/provides excerpts of longer pieces.
- ClassyJacket 10y agoMy mistake, then, and I suppose with the name that does make sense. I just thought I remembered reading and not really understanding various long articles like this in it in various waiting rooms as a kid. Bad example, but I hope my point still makes sense.

- SerLava 10y agoIt's a disease. At least spammy clickbait has the decency to take that ad view money and let you off the hook in 10 seconds. Combining clickbait and long form is a grave sin. If you want to write a fucking story, label it as a story.
