I read somewhere that it isn't possible to not run a microwave at full power. I don't remember why. I agree on the two knobs though. I noticed after I buying an expensive in wall microwave that the thing would randomly glitch (you have to power it off to use it again). You have to use a "race condition" to launch it at full power without having to set the power then the time and then press the start button. I had no idea you could fail so bad at making a microwave.
