Nobody is assuming she's lying. However, libel laws are in place for a reason. If all it takes is an accusation of impropriety for people to treat the accused as actually guilty, well, that's not justice. And it's a hell of a leap from "sexual harassment" to "rape". And to bring any sort of culture into this is laughable. I don't see anybody rushing to the defense of Uber if these allegations are actually true.
