Tipping could work, if the tips are received anonymously with some time period. So that drivers would not know, from whom the tip came from. I'm not from US and generally I like the "no tips" culture. However sometimes I want to tip for exceptional service. Unfortunately Uber doesn't offer a tool for that. I think it could be implemented in some non-intrusive way.
