- WillPostForFood 10y agoNorton Commander was great. Simple, fast, powerful. I often wonder why Finder/Explorer don't borrow from it.
- bambax 10y agoI miss Norton Commander!
- cJ0th 10y agoHave you already checked out Midnight Commander? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midnight_Commander https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midnight_Commander
- beernutz 10y agoI'll add a +1 to Total Commander. That tool along with several others REALLY make a large difference in day-to-day computer work. I'll add these to the list: * Clipmate. The BEST clipboard database. * Evernote. * AutoHotkey. Seriously, play with this a bit and you will see uses all OVER The place. * Midnight Commander for Linux installs. Makes it a LOT harder to shoot yourself in the foot as well.
- dima_medvedev 10y agoFAR Manager back in the Win2k/XP days. Actually nowadays too.
- glandium 10y agoI preferred PCTools, back then.
