I'm not OP but I'm using Windows 7 for playing Steam games which do not work on Linux natively or using Wine. My reasons for avoiding Windows 10, aside from having everything I care about on Windows 7 already, are described well by EFF [1].
None of the games I care to play are DX12 and Windows Store exclusive, so using Windows 7 has worked well so far.

- halugalugh 10y agoI think you're on a really weird high horse saying 7 is OK but 10 is bad. If you're only using the thing for games, and you're not ideologically opposed to using nonfree software, what's the difference? It seems a similar argument to "Win7 is OK, but a PS4 is not, because of software freedom."
