When we were considering starting a startup, I explained my potential co-founder my vision, what we should prioritise, and what we shouldn't do. He took a few weeks and came back with his vision, and we realised that we have diverging visions, so we didn't do the startup (among other reasons). We remain friends, and he advises me on my business, and vice-versa.
