Been on a couple in my life. As far as I can tell, tax dollars ear-marked for transit go into a black hole. I don't mind contributing to "the greater good" or "global society", but don't expect me to both subsidize transit and pay a premium for my only mode of transportation. Local problems need local solutions, but there's so much NIMBYism.
