I kind of wish there was a way to unblock specific YouTube users from uBlock. I have a handful of entertainers that I like enough to intentionally support them by watching ads, yet I've found no simple way to do that without manually disabling uBlock for a specific video and re-enabling it afterwards.

Unfortunately because of YouTube's URL scheme I don't think it would be possible.

You could make it work quite easily with 2 stage script. Load page, grep for channel name, whitelisted = set $wastemytimelikeitwasworth20centsperhour$=1 and force reload . Make ublock check for this variable every time it parses pages. but why would you?

Many 'tubers accept donations. You could support them _and_ not damage your psyche with ads ;)

Why not get red? It comes with free music streaming and eliminates all ads. It's not much at all.

If you are paying its not free

I don't like the fact that YouTube requires red to play music with the screen off. I don't want to support YouTube and make them think that's alright.

Uhh... That seems pretty silly actually.

I think it's silly to withhold a feature that is easy to implement and makes the user experience better, but to each their own.

This is a false proposition, watch this for a strong counter argument: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=17DeSVjIqUI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=17DeSVjIqUI tldr: whats better, one person donating $1 a month, or 100 people suffering thru 3 minutes of mindless ads? Do you really value your time at $0.2c/hour?
