Simply put - people like living in houses and having a yard. Until this changes, much of the public will continue to drive.

Simply put - people like living in houses and having a yard. Until this changes, much of the public will continue to drive.
- uiri 10y agoThere are plenty of neighborhoods in San Francisco where one can get a house with a yard; take, for instance, Noe Valley. It is San Francisco so housing prices are expensive but I am inclined to believe that it is cheaper to live without a car in San Francisco than with a car in the suburban Bay Area. The difference, of course, is in the square footage of your living space. This isn't a phenomenon that is unique to SF either.
