What direct need do video games solve?
- overgard 10y agoI would argue: a lot of them! Need for the feeling of accomplishment and mastery, need for social interaction, need for learning. VR is undeniably really cool, but, all these needs can be filled without it. I'm not hating on VR, I just am skeptical that wearing a face helmet and ignoring your surroundings is going to be a mainstay in our culture.
