High correlation between vitamin D deficiency and increased autism rate is very visible in the case of Somali immigrant communities in Sweden and Minnesota (less sunshine, dark skin plus significantly bigger cloth coverage of the body results in the observed severe vitamin D deficiency in the Somali immigrants there). Such correlation is also present, while less pronounced, for Sweden children for whom 3rd trimester happened in winter.
